I understand that approaching someone like me is something you might have thought about for a long, long time, and that taking that first step often involves both courage and trepidation. I appreciate that this is even more likely if it’s issues with your relationship that brings you. You can be assured that in making contact, you will be dealing directly with me; your calls are held in confidence.
I expect that you’re considering therapy because most likely, you want to make some changes in your life – to feel ‘more comfortable in your own skin’; to live more fully. I also understand that while we might not like where we are at, we may still be anxious about making changes. I have more than twenty five years of experience in working with people at times of need. I’m a registered Clinical Psychologist, and also a registered Psychotherapist. I’m also a Certified Imago Couples’ therapist and have a lot of experience as an assessor for ACC. Some of the issues my clients bring are those relating to grief, family issues, relationship upheaval, eating disorders of all kinds, recovering from traumatic events, and work place issues. I’m a positive and optimistic person and value working with clients to make good things happen in their lives. That might mean finding ways to live fully, alongside issues like debilitating health. I know that often, we have to let go of our old ways of being to find some peace within ourselves. Life has a way of throwing us challenges and growth often comes in unexpected ways. I look forward to hearing from you. |
